Emile P. Oestriecher, III, CPA
Emile Oestriecher received a BS degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1961. He has been involved in the accounting profession since 1963 when he returned to his hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana upon completion of two years active duty as a United States Army Officer. A Certified Public Accountant since 1968, he formed his own accounting firm in 1970 and is a partner in the firm of Oestriecher & Company, CPAs, working with his son Kurt, who is also a CPA and a partner in the accounting firm. In his practice with Oestriecher & Company, Emile focused primarily on tax planning and compliance and estate planning. The CPA firm also provides bookkeeping and accounting services, including audits.
In 1999, Emile became a registered representative affiliated with HD Vest Investment ServicesSM. A natural outgrowth of his tax practice was providing financial planning assistance for his clients. By serving as both the CPA and the financial planning advisor for clients, he is able to offer a full menu of services to both his business and individual clients. Emile is fully licensed as both a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisory Representative, as well as holding a Life and Health Insurance license.
Through consistent effort and a reputation for outstanding service and integrity, Emile has built a solid base of satisfied clients.
As an active member of his community, Emile has been involved in several organizations. Most notably, he has been the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 6 since 1972, working with hundreds of boys, helping them to develop leadership skills. “Mr. O.”, as he is known to his Scouts, has been recognized many times for his commitment. In addition to his Scouting work, he is involved with his church, St. Frances Cabrini, primarily through its music program, the Lions Club, and many other organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs. He and his wife Audrey have four children.
Anne Oestriecher, CPA, CFP
Anne Oestriecher is also a Certified Public Accountant, having graduated from Loyola University in 1985 and receiving her CPA certificate in 1986. She began her career working with Touche Ross, CPAs in their audit department. After rising to the level of audit manager, she left public accounting to work for Hibernia National Bank as their Accounting Policy & Control Manager. There, she was responsible for many aspects of the accounting and reporting, including analysis of new accounting pronouncements, coordinating internal control issues, and technical accounting responsibilities for items such as investments, derivatives and purchase accounting.
Upon the acquisition of Hibernia by Capital One in 2006, Anne moved from New Orleans back to her hometown of Alexandria, and formed her own practice, providing continuing education for CPAs. She traveled around the country providing seminars to other CPAs on various accounting and auditing topics. In 2009, she was named the Outstanding Discussion Leader by the Society of Louisiana CPAs. In 2011, she was named an Outstanding Discussion Leader by the American Institute of CPAs. She also provided audit services to small businesses through a contract relationship with a CPA firm in Houma, Louisiana as well as occasional consulting services to other companies and firms.
In 2008, Anne began the process of earning her securities licenses, and in 2009 joined her father in Oestriecher Financial Management Services. She is fully licensed as an Investment Advisory Representative as well as a Registered Representative with HD Vest Investment ServicesSM, as well as having a Life and Health insurance license. These licenses provide her with the ability to offer a complete range of investment and risk management products and services. In 2011, Anne passed the CFP® examination and other requirements and is now a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional.
Always active in her community, Anne has been a volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for more than 25 years, serving as the chairman for the Great Strides Walk each year, as well as helping with other projects of the CFF. She coached girls softball for several years at her neighborhood playground in Metairie, and currently serves on the Troop Committee for BSA Troop 6. She is an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and the Kiwanis Club of Central Louisiana. She is also a member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
A South Louisiana native, Damianna attended Northwestern State University. She joined the firm in 2003, and serves as the Client Services Manager for OFMS. She is responsible for much of the daily operations of the business, and can handle most client service requests that do not involve trading securities. Damianna has three children, and is an active member of her church. She is involved in the hearing-impaired community through the Department of Health and Hospitals and Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program. She serves as a Parent Guide, mentoring parents who have children who have been recently diagnosed with hearing loss. She also mentors foster children who are in the process of “aging-out” of the system.
