Emile P. Oestriecher, III, CPA

Emile Oestriecher earned a BS degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1961. He has been involved in the accounting profession since 1963 when he returned to his hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana, upon completion of two years active duty as a United States Army Officer. He founded his own accounting firm in 1970 and began working with his son Kurt, who is also a CPA and a partner in the accounting firm. 

In 1999, Emile became a Registered Representative, a natural outgrowth of his tax practice providing financial planning assistance for his clients. In 2023, he stepped down from the day to day involvement in the practive. He currently serves in an advisory capactiy as needed to help with client strategies. 

Through consistent effort and a reputation for outstanding service and integrity, Emile has built a solid base of satisfied clients.

As an active member of his community, Emile has been involved in several organizations. Most notably, he was the Scoutmaster of Troop 6, Boy Scouts of America from 1972 until 2023, working with hundreds of boys, helping them to develop leadership values and leadership skills. “Mr. O.”, as he is known to his Scouts, has been recognized many times for this commitment. In addition to his Scouting work, he is involved with St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church which honored him with the “Dedicated Parishioner Award”.  He is a Charter Member of the MacArthur Drive Lions Club and served in many leadership capacities, including President.   In 2002, in recognition of his many volunteer activities, he received the AICPA Public Service Award.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on national committees of that organization.  He also served as Chapter President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Louisiana CPAs. He and his wife Audrey have four children.
